Gateways to the Hidden Treasures of the Great Southern
KOJONUP
Kojonup is extremely proud of its history, but looking to the future it offers the visitor plenty of
activities and sightseeing opportunities. It is worth taking the time to stroll through the magnificent,
award-winning Rose Maze and Kodja Place Interpretive Centre. Visit one of the earliest Military Barracks
built in WA, housing the Kojonup Pioneer Museum. Situated on Albany Highway, Kojonup is one of the western
gateways to the Hidden Treasures tourist region.

If you would like to visit a true Pioneer Village, then set time aside because Wagin has just such an attraction. It is not only interesting for adult visitors, but fun too for the young. You can also see, and picnic around the legs of, one of the largest merino rams in the world. Wagin is also home to Woolarama, one of the biggest agricultural shows outside the Perth metropolitan area. |

RAVENSTHORPE/HOPETOUN/MUNGLINUP
Ravensthorpe is the Hidden Treasures' eastern gateway, situated 209 km east of Albany and 196 km west of
Esperance. Highway No 1 runs through the middle of the Ravensthorpe district and is the main street of
Ravensthorpe. Hopetoun, on the coast, is 49 km to the south. Ravensthorpe and Hopetoun offer a wealth of

CRANBROOK
Cranbrook is the Hidden Treasures' gateway from the south. Cranbrook Shire takes in the Frankland River
wine region as well as part of the picturesque Stirling Range National Park. Not only can you taste
the wine but also consume the natural beauty of the Ranges particularly from the National
Parks & Biosphere drive trail. Situated approximately 300 km from Perth, just off Albany Highway
and only 85 km from Albany, Cranbrook is well situated as a starting point to explore the Hidden Treasures
of the Great Southern.
